Dear Businesses in Wyre,
We are writing to let you know about an exciting and unique project that will play a major part in boosting tourism and supporting the local economy across the Fylde Coast.
The Access Fylde Coast project will take every opportunity to enhance Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre as outstanding locations for people with disabilities – both visitors and locals – with the aim to attract additional visitors who are disabled, by making it easier for them to access hotels, retailers, tourist attractions and events.
Businesses will have the opportunity to maximise their customer base by making their products and services available to people with long-term health conditions and disabilities. It will enable them to benefit from an estimated £14.8m of additional spending, which is expected to be generated over the next three years.
The project has been made possible thanks to £985,922 funding from the Coastal Communities Fund.
I want to ensure that your businesses have the best chance of benefiting from that new spend, with year-on-year GVA expected to be £2.9m.
