|We have been successful in the first round of the Government’s Future High Streets Fund securing £150,000 to develop a Masterplan and supporting business case for Fleetwood Town Centre.
We have commissioned the IBI Group to help prepare a masterplan.
A critical part of developing a masterplan is consultation and engagement with the community and key stakeholders so that together we can create a shared vision and strategy for the Town.
A three week public consultation will commence on 2 December until 5.00pm on 20 December 2019.
We will be holding a ‘drop in’ event on Tuesday 3 December at Fleetwood Marine Hall, The Esplanade, FY7 6HF, between 2.00 and 7.30pm. This is an opportunity for you to come and discuss your future vision for Fleetwood and view initial proposals and there will also be festive refreshments available.
The ‘drop in’ event will also be an opportunity to review wider initiatives and proposals that are currently being developed in Fleetwood, including the Heritage Action Zone, proposals for Fleetwood Market and work currently underway at the Mount.
Further information regarding the Future Fleetwood consultation and ‘drop in’ event can be viewed on the council’s website at: www.wyre.gov.uk/futurefleetwood and the webpage will be updated prior to the drop in event so you may wish to regularly review the website. Following the ‘drop in’ event, the consultation display boards for the masterplan will be available to view at Fleetwood Library, North Albert Street, FY7 6AJ for the remainder of the consultation period.
Consultation comments can be submitted via the online form at www.wyre.gov.uk/futurefleetwood or by:
Email at email@example.com
Post to Economic Development, Wyre Council, Civic Centre, Breck Road, Poulton-le-Fylde, FY6 7PU.
Following the ‘drop in’ event, comments can also be deposited in the special response box that will located in Fleetwood Library alongside the consultation display boards.
All comments must be received by no later than 5.00pm on 20 December 2019. Comments received after this deadline may not be accepted.
A further consultation period on the preferred masterplan option and vision is expected to commence in February 2020. If you wish to be kept informed about the masterplan process, please sign up for email alerts at www.wyre.gov.uk/enews
