I was delighted that Garstang has renewed its Fairtrade town status. Garstang should be proud to be the worlds first trade town and it was an honour to accept this certificate.
Lyn and myself were very kindly invited for dinner and to perform the Rotary 200 club draw at the golf club. What a great evening with such a friendly group (nearly as laid back as my lions meetings) – we were made most welcome and they presented Lyn with a wonderful bouquet of flowers.
For the first time this ceremony (raising the flag) was carried out at Kepple Lane. What a great venue flowers, trees, open space and silence. It was really so peaceful.
